| As a parent of children with ADD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia and Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome, (ages 20-26) I have found myself searching for resources since the oldest was in preschool. With a background in Special Education and Reading, as well as teaching experience across 30 years, in clinical, college, high school and middle school situations, I have been fortunate to have networked with many professionals and located information that I feel would be useful to other parents and teachers. For me, this information has given me hope, resources and the freedom to make choices that benefit my children, as well as my students in circumstances that sometimes can be considered overwhelming. Please keep in mind that when you have a student (child) who is having difficulty academically, or otherwise, there is usually more than one piece to the puzzle. In most instances, no one solution will solve what is going on. This site is a collection of links that began as bookmarks. It became easier to build a web page, organize them and put them all in one place where they can be readily located. Link pages contain information that can be used by parents, students and educators. |
