Book Project Schedule
For your independent reading, you will need to read approximately 4 books per quarter outside of class  to equal 25 AR
points and 1 project.   You will be required to keep a journal in your 3 subject spiral for each book you read before you
take an Accelerated Reader Quiz.  Books should be in your lexile range.  The due dates are as follows as well as the
book requirements.  


1st Quarter
Book Talk (Nonfiction) - Due October 22nd (Wednesday)
All AR quizzes by Oct. 22nd (Wednesday)

2nd Quarter
Formal Book Project (Science Fiction, Fantasy or Folk Literature/Tall Tale/Myth) -Due Dec. 3rd (Wednesday)
All AR quizzes - Due Jan. 14th (Wednesday)

3rd Quarter
Power Point Book Project (Science Fiction, Fantasy or Folk Literature/Tall Tale/Myth)-Due Feb. 18th Wednesday
All AR quizzes - Due March 18th (Wednesday)

4th Quarter
CD Project (Science Fiction, Fantasy or Folk LIterature/Tall Tale/Myth) - Due April 22nd (Wednesday)
All AR quizzes- Due May 27th (Wednesday)

Genre requirements: You must do a project for each of the required genres.  You may do the required genres in any
order you wish.
